The Horned (or Horn) kratom variety is taken from a distinct type of kratom distinguished by its leaves that have serrated edges, thus the name. The red vein variety uses the strain’s most mature leaves, harvested close to the end of viability when veins turn a dark, reddish brown hue.
Red Horn kratom is considered a red vein kratom strain, but it’s not your typical one-note red. Aside from its appearance, it’s known for having a stronger alkaloid profile than many standard reds. That added concentration tends to give it more presence, and a slightly faster edge than its fellow reds. Even so, it still falls within the slower, calming category overall.
