White Borneo is a white vein strain originating from the Island of Borneo, where tropical heat, steady rainfall, and nutrient-rich soil contributed to the development of the alkaloid profile. White Borneo is often considered to by a mid-spectrum white strain, meaning its aroma is generally more balanced with a slower aroma than many other strains in the white-vein category such as Maeng Da, Thai and Vietnam. It is the white-vein variant of the Borneo strain, with leaves harvested earlier than green and red varieties. This earlier harvesting time results in a differing alkaloid profile, and typically, it has the fastest aroma amongst the three vein color types of the Borneo strain.
